Readings for St. Luke the Evangelist (focus text in bold):
Isaiah 35:3-8 - "Be strong, fear not, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped."
Psalm 147:1-6 - "The Lord doth build up Jerusalem, and gather together the outcasts of Israel. He healeth those that are broken in heart, and giveth medicine to heal their sickness."
2 Timothy 4:5-15 - "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only but unto all them also that love his appearing."
Luke 10:1-12 - "The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest."
