Mrs. Renee Young, Treasurer

Renee Young moved to Hillsdale from North Carolina in 2017 for her husband’s job at Hillsdale College.  A librarian by profession, Renee works remotely for a company based in NC.  It was there that Renee and her husband, Tripp, were first introduced to the Anglican church.  Raised Lutheran and Methodist respectively, they had been attending Methodist churches since their marriage and had had difficulty finding the right church while in graduate school.  A visit from Renee’s Anglican Godmother prompted them to visit the (only) Anglican church in Durham and the rest is history.

Originally from Minnesota, Jonathan grew up in the Baptist church, but has been attending an Anglican parish since 2012 and was confirmed into the Anglican communion in 2016. He is married to Casey, and they have four children, Eliana, Simeon, Mattia, and Carinna.

Ben Strickland, Secretary to the Vestry

Picture
Ben Strickland is a 2016 graduate of Hillsdale College. After receiving a BS in Math and Art, he went to Arizona to teach high school. Three years later, after marrying Jen, a 2018 Hillsdale grad, they moved back to Hillsdale where he has worked since in the admissions office. They were both confirmed in the Anglican Church in 2022, finding a home in the tradition and liturgy while still holding fast to the reformed theology of their upbringing. They now have two children, Marianne and Frank.
