Psalm 33:6-18 - "The Lord looketh down from heaven, and beholdeth all the children of men; from the habitation of his dwelling, he considereth all them that dwell on the earth. He fashioneth all the hearts of them, and understandeth all their works." Luke 14:1-11 - Jesus heals on the Sabbath and tells a parable showing that men should not exalt themselves, "Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the Sabbath day? ... For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted." Sermon by the Rev.
