Jeremiah 14:7-10, 19-22 - "We acknowledge, O Lord, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers, for we have sinned against thee. Do not spurn us, for thy name's sake, do not dishonor the throne of thy glory." Psalm 28 - "Hear the voice of my humble petitions when I cry unto thee; when I hold up my hands towards the mercy seat of thy holy temple." 1 Corinthians 15:1-11 - Paul outlines the facts of the gospel. Luke 18:9-14 - Jesus tells the parable of the Pharisee and the publican who go to the temple to pray.
