The Daily Office: Our Daily WorkToday we begin a new three-week series on the services of Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer in the Book of Common Prayer, collectively known as the "Daily Office." In this study, we look at the basic building blocks of the services, and their history from the early church through the middle ages to the shape of the modern liturgies by Archbishop Thomas Cranmer during the Reformation of the sixteenth century.
